Ramblings

Well, this holdiay went seemingly smooth. We had a wonderful time with Eric's parents and grandparents and my brother Coyde, we ate delicious food, had fun shopping, got to see Janelle, Austin, and Ted the day after, and spent lots of time enjoying each other. Of course I had my camera but in true Delanie fashion didn't use it. So, the pics are limited. I did catch a few of Lillian in several different costumes so I'll try to get those on here before long. I got too excited about changing the blog for Christmas and didn't realize what time it is getting to be.
We came home Saturday and started getting prepared for vacation. I can't believe how in control I feel with two exceptions: we thought we lost Madeline's American Girl doll, Elizabeth. After panicking and searching everywhere we finally found her in the box she came in!! It was on the highest shelf of an entertainment center in our basement where I store some boxes for things that I want to keep..... Who knows.
The other exception is a bit more serious. We received news that our friend's father passed away today. He had fought cancer for four years. The original prognosis was weeks so to have four years was a blessing. It makes us terribly sad that we have lost him.
Roger and Mandy, we are sorry for your loss. Roger (senior) is in a beautiful place and at peace without pain. He will watch over you always. Take care and know that you and your family are in our thoughts and that as soon as possible we will be with you. We are sorry we will not be with you the next few days. God Bless.

  2. Glad your holiday went smoothly...lets hope Christmas is the same! Right?! Happy thoughts, happy thoughts!! So sorry to hear about Roger's dad's passing...I'm sure Roger realizes how much you would love to be with him during this time...sometimes you just can't plan these things. Kinda like thinking you've turned in the necessary paperwork, and then someone telling you it's not there! Have a great time in Hawaii...and if you have room in your suitcase...;)
